Space Oddity

"Great Song, Decent Flash"

submission: Space Oddity
date: February 4, 2008

I remember being more impressed by this flash when i first saw it in 2005, it doesn't really withstand the test of time. But the pacing is still pretty good, matches the feel of the music.

I also want to reply to Pitiful-Joy below me, you seem to put a lot of importance on the wrong part of the metaphor. Sure, the song was about loosing yourself to drugs as much as space travel, but I think that this song will go down in music history as a song that tells an aspect of the story of human perception of itself at the beginning of the age where man went into space. The mindblowing expanses of the universe seemed to open up to us, what better analogy for people to understand both the elation and desperation of drugs than this new (final?) frontier.

Blockslide 2

"Lots of fun!"

I really enjoyed playing this game, it plays like an upgraded version of Sokoban. Some of the levels are very hard, so if you don't like to wrack your brain over a puzzle this game isn't for you. But if you like solving problems it's worth playing through the long tutorial so you get to the interesting levels.

I had a lot of fun with the editor too, you unlock it by completing the tutorial. Sadly you can't save your levels on the newgrounds version, so here's the hardest level i've made so far:

Blackhead

"Love it"

submission: Blackhead
date: December 28, 2006

Well, i love the way you did this cartoon, but i can't see any resemblance between this and blockhead really, besides changing the 'o' to an 'a'. Sure it's a whacky character, but to me his actions seemed to have some motiviation, unlike the totally random stuff blockhead does. And that fat white guy is nothing like the consience. I mean, he even physically interacts with blackhead here.

But besides all that it was funny, well made, allthough i probably would have skipped this if the description didn't say it was a parody on blockhead. Which it isn't.
